RELATIVE CLAUSES

نستعمل relative clauses لتعريف الأسماء و يتغير الضمير relative pronoun  المستعمل على حسب الإسم.

نستعمل WHO إذا كان الإسم إنسانا و هو فاعل for people/subject 

"The people who came to the party are very nice".

نستعمل WHOM إذا كان الإسم إنسانا و مفعول به for people/object

"The people whom you invited to the party were very nice."

نستعمل WHICH إذا كان الإسم شيئا او حيوانا for things and animals

"I didn't like the film which was on TV last night."

نستعمل WHOSE إذا كان الشيء المعرف به في ملكية الإسم for possessives

"The man whose car is parked there is waiting for you."

نستعمل WHEREإذا كان الإسم يعبر عن مكان for places

"The house where I live is small."

نستعمل WHEN إذا كان الإسم يدل على الزمان for time

"Do you remember the day when we first met?"

نستعمل WHY إذا كان الإسم يدل عن سبب for reason

"Nobody knows the reason why he has left his job."
