Key to Writing 9

Dear Eric,
Hi. How are you? I hope that you and your family are all well. It was a good surprise for me to know that you do voluntary work. Indeed, voluntary work is all advantages for both the workers and the ones who benefit from it. It is very rewarding at the social and individual level.  Actually, our society needs all of its members to contribute to its welfare without expecting any material retribution. Each of us has a particular skill or asset which we should make others benefit from. At the individual level, doing voluntary work makes you feel that you are useful to your community and it strengthens the values of cooperation and altruism.
As far as I am concerned, I’d really love to make others, especially needy children, benefit from my computer skills. I could tutor a small group of kids into the magical world of internet which they may be deprived of. Also I would be happy if I could be a member of an association which aims at protecting the environment in my neighbourhood. For instance we could organize campaigns to clean our streets or plant trees. We could also try to sensitize citizens to the importance of keeping our environment healthy.
As you can see there are hundreds of fields in which everyone can take part since we needn’t wait for the authorities to do the job all the time. We can give a hand and the result will be much better.
       Best wishes,
