رأينا في الجزء الأول من هذا الدرس كيف نحول جملة من Direct Speech إلى Reported Speech  باستعمال say, tell , ask

في هذا الدرس سنتعرف على أفعال أخرى و كيفية استعمالها

أفعال يتبعها that + subject+verb

VERB		DIRECT SPEECH	REPORTED SPEECH
Say	قال	We are ready now	She said (that) they were ready then.
admit	اعترف	Yes, I was at home	He admitted(that) he had been at home
deny	أنكر	I didn’t do that	He denied (that) he had done that
explain	شرح	This needs focus	He explained (that) that needed focus.
inform	أخبر	The test is today	He informed me (that) the test was that day.
complain	احتج	You’re making noise.	He complained (that) we were making noise.

أفعال يتبعها to+infinitive
 

VERB		DIRECT SPEECH	REPORTED SPEECH
advise	نصح	You shouldn’t go there	He advised me not to go there
encourage	شجع	Come on, try again	I encouraged him to try again
invite	دعا	Come to my party	He invited me to his party
remind	ذكر	Don’t forget to call Ann	He reminded me to call Ann
warn	حذر	Don’t touch this wire!	He warned me not to touch that wire

agree	وافق	OK, I will do it	He agreed to do it
offer	عرض	Would you like me to fix your car?	He offered to fix my car.
refuse	رفض	No, I won’t speak to her	He refused to speak to her
threaten	هدد	I’ll hit you if you don’t obey	He threatened to hit me if I didn’t obey.
promise	وعد	I will buy you a nice present.	She promised to buy me a nice present.
decide	قرر	I’m going to get married	She decided to get married.

 أفعال يتبعها gerund (verb+ing

VERB		DIRECT SPEECH	REPORTED SPEECH
deny	أنكر	I didn’t do that	He denied doing that.
recommend	نصح	You should buy a Nokia	He recommended buying a Nokia.
suggest	اقترح	Let’s have a pizza.	She suggested having a pizza.

accuse of	اتهم ب	You took my wallet	He accused me of taking his wallet
Blame for	لام على	You caused this mess.	He blamed me for causing that mess.

apologize for	اعتذر على	I’m sorry I’m late	He apologized for being late
insist on	أصر على	You must lock the door	He insisted on me /my locking the door
